The Garfield Memorial Library and the Literacy Council of Clare and Gladwin Counties, in Michigan, would like to announce the grand opening of a new computer lab.  The lab was funded by the Library Services and Technology Act (L.S.T.A.). 

The new computer lab offers six work stations with two additional stations on the first floor of the library.  The lab will be open to all library patrons and Literacy Council tutors and learners during regular library hours.

In addition, there will be computer training workshops offered once a month throughout the year. 


The training will be on:
  • Introduction to Computers
  • Introduction to the Internet
  • Word Processing with Microsoft Word & Publisher 98
  • Teaching & Learning with Computer Technology for Literacy Tutors
